My creative world is playful, colourful and full of character, but behind every piece there is always a story. I love creating illustrations and patterns that feel joyful and imaginative, while still having a sense of simplicity and warmth.

I work across several creative disciplines, including surface pattern design, illustration and embroidery. For me, these are not separate worlds. They naturally overlap and influence one another. An illustration can become a pattern, a pattern can turn into a textile, and a simple drawing can eventually become something tangible through embroidery.

Being from Slovenia is also an important part of who I am creatively. I’m inspired by the quiet beauty of nature, the changing seasons, old crafts, small details and the slower moments of everyday life. I like bringing a little of that feeling into my work while keeping it fresh, contemporary and playful.

At the heart of everything I create is the idea that design should make you feel something. It can make you smile, remind you of childhood, spark your imagination or simply bring a little joy into an ordinary day.

I’m especially interested in creating work for children because I believe their world should be filled with colour, curiosity and imagination. I love making designs that feel like they belong in a little storybook — characters and patterns that children can discover, connect with and perhaps carry with them as they grow.

Through my studio, I work on illustration, surface pattern collections, embroidery and creative collaborations. I’m always curious about where an idea can take me and how a simple sketch can evolve into something completely unexpected.

I don’t think creativity needs to be complicated. Sometimes the smallest idea can become the most meaningful one.

And that is what I hope to bring into my work — a sense of wonder, a touch of nostalgia, a playful spirit and plenty of little details waiting to be discovered.
